The Burton Custom Wide. The custom is a Great all mountain board. It is a “legend”. Its a good board that pretty much everyone (who isnt looking for a specialized board) loves.

I demoed this board and i didnt like it at first. I was given the beginner bindings like all other rentals and that really didnt help with the demoing. It wasnt until after i tried other bindings that i realized that thats what made all the difference.

The custom should have a good amount of flex, but i wanted a more snappier board, so i went with the Burton Twin, which is also a good all mountain board, Except that it is a midwide.

It depends what kind of riding you are doing – you might be looking for a softer freeride board (Try the Ride Fleetwood) or a park board (Try the Forum Recon Wide).

Check out this size calculator that will give you some suggestions based on your riding preference and your size:

The Rome Machine is the most flexable wide board that i know of, its great for buttering and jib type tricks. Good luck with the riding.
