whats the difference does wide snowboard make from narrow on skate banana?

im looking to get the 2010 skate banana and it now comes in wide and i got a 11 size boot and was just wondering if i should stay with narrow or go with the wide…also what is the riding difference between wide and narrow becouse i ride all mountain and am starting to ride park so witch would be better for my riding type and what does it make a difference from the wide or narrow when your riding around the mountain

The only difference between the 2 boards is that the wide board is WIDER. If your boot size is big and you notice that your toes are hanging out of your board a lot, then you should get a wider board.

Park or all mountain are not a factor here. If you have ur toe sticking out a lot then go with the wider board.

Many people with size 11+ boots choose wide boards, although another option is to get binding risers. (Just google search binding risers, something should pop up.) Like the other guy said, wide and normal makes no real difference with all that stuff, and if your foot doesn’t fit on a normal board, get a wide. The only advantage of going with a narrower board with risers is that it makes it easier to transition between edges, although you might still get a little bit of toe drag.

For example, I have a close friend that I ride with all the time that wears a size 13 and has a normal board with binding risers, and I have never seen him slip out.

I don’t know that much about skate bananas, i would just go into a local board shop and try on a boot and see how it is in relationship to the board. The skate banana may be wide enough normally to take a size 11.

In your case, if the skate banana is your final decision of purchase, then wide is the obvious choice because of the size of your feet. Popular boards usually have two types of the same style board a wide and a narrow. Basically larger feet vs smaller feet.

In the large scheme of things,

A narrow designed board will have quicker response, and maneuverability. A wider board will contact snow much steadier and better going high speeds, and will float through powder like it was water. For an all mountain board, a wider style is better. If you mainly spend your time in the park, go narrow.
