The general rule of thumb I’ve used is try to get a board that’s somewhere inbetween your chin and nose, meaning if you stand the board up next to you it should go up to somewhere in between your chin and nose.

As for width, unless you have really big feet the standard size that board comes in should be fine.

If you’re still growing, just get a board that’s 2-3 inches longer.

well it is really hard to decide what size board you should get if your still growing because you want your board to be your perfect so that you can stear good.So just go to whatever snowboard shop you go to and the board should be up to your chin. then the width should be the length of your foot size, it shouldnt be over the board or to short. so good luck and i recomend getting a burton snowboard and get them in the off season. good luck!

me personally i get a board that comes up to the start if my neck for 2 main reasons i do a lot of park riding and a shorter lighter board is easier to Spin on and menover in the air and im 6’4 so a board to my chin would be huge
but most like it to thier chin so i recommend going and renting a board and switching sizes through out the day and see witch on you like best

  3. Nevermind what that guy above said about basing the length of your board on your height. As a general rule, that’s true and it’s what a lot of beginners use to figure their board height. Truth is, your board length depends on your weight. At 100 lbs, your perfect size is like a 136 cm, but since you like going fast, up it one or two cm’s so it stays stable at high speeds. As far as board with, you don’t need a wide. Well I’m assuming. If your foot’s a size 11 and up, then you might want to consider it, but under that, forget about it. Most boards that have a waist that’s more than 25 cm are considered wide. So under that, you’ll be fine. Good luck out there.
