do i need a wide snowboard if i wear a 13 shoe?
i really don’t want to buy a wide board because i heard they are less maneuverable. The guy at my local snow/skate shop told me that i don’t need a wide board because of the technology in the boots nowadays.

depending on your toe risers and stance settings you shouldn’t need a wide board. I wear a 13 and I haven’t had any problem in 9 years on a standard board. usually the longer boards will come a little wider without going to a “wide” board description. hope this helps

/ February 16, 2011At that size you will need a wide board. People say wide boards are less maneuverable because a lot of people get them when they don’t need them, so it is too large, but for a bigger guy it will be fine.

/ February 16, 2011i have a 13, and use a burton blunt 158 wide, id say u need a wide, but it depends what length of board it is, definitely rent the type of board u want first before actually buying it, and get boots with good toe risers
